Helping People to Thrive in Atlanta GA

Serving Here at Home

Sometimes we forget that missions isn't just about people "across an ocean". There is a LOT of mission work to be done right here in the United States too!

About a quarter of the missionaries we work with at One Village Group are actually doing outreach and ministry here in America.

Kia Shingles, director of THRIVE in Atlanta GA, is one of these great people.

Launching! 🚀

We have had the honor of working with Kia for the past five months as she finished preparations to launch her ministry.

Two Sundays ago was her official LAUNCH at her home church, Clarkston International Bible Church!

Thrive is a ministry that gives at risk individuals an opportunity to learn real world skills while also forming the type of community that will support them for years to come.

It is an amazing ministry geared towards those who are struggling and want to change their life trajectory.

THANK YOU

For those of you who are supporting One Village Group through prayers and financial donations, Kia said to tell you "THANK YOU".

As a new ministry, Thrive did not have the money to pay One Village Group for most of the Marketing, Communications, creating logos, blog page, etc.

It was only through your individual donations and prayers to One Village we were able to work the many, many hours with Kia and Thrive to accomplish their launch.

Sometimes it does take a Village!

THANKS!

Synergies in Missions

Synergies in Missions

Believe it or not, One Village Group is not the only ministry out there pushing to help missionaries to embrace the digital age we live in. Last Monday, we traveled to Upland, IN to meet with Dave Hines, Director of the Roth Center for Missions Computing, at Taylor University to discuss what the future of mission's communications will look like, and to discuss possible synergies between One Village
